Yes, Neal is another "Show-Me" guy, but he is from Sikeston, not Springfield. Sikeston is on the eastern side of the state, closer to Cape Giradeau
and Paduca, Kentucky, than Springfield.
Neal, the obese, weepy insurance salesman, is a carbon copy of Paul Potts, the obese, weepy cell phone salesman who won Britain's Got Talent singing the same song--"Nessun Dorma". Apparently English and American voters respond to the same sentimental stuff. I am sure that Neal, as well as all of the top five finalists and most of the top ten, have received the national exposure that will get them bookings, good agents, and lucrative contracts that will lead to success in their futures...They will not all be famous...and they may not get fabulously rich, but I doubt that any of them will have to return to selling insurance or other mundane jobs. Too bad the show's producers--led by the infamous Simon Cowell--are so stingy with the grand prize! Neal gets to headline a Las Vegas show--Whoop-de-doo! One show! And all of the other top acts from this season will also get to perform on that show. Terry Fator's big ten million dollar Vegas deal was a separate thing entirely from his show prize. And in addition to headlining the show, Neal will get One Million Dollars--but look at the fine print on the screen for a half second at the end of the show--Payable in Installments over the next FORTY YEARS!!!! Survivor, The Amazing Race, Big Brother--all pay the winner in a lump sum--but AGT pays only $25,000 per year to the winner. Of course, Neal can take a lump sum payment, but that is only a fraction of one million. $25,000 per year and a one-time only Vegas show--I think I'd just rather get a chintzy trophy like the plastic disco ball won by the celebrity ballroom dancers. |

You are so right he is from Sikeston and I use to be from that part of the state.Had another blonde moment. I was just thinking of all the talent that has come
from Missouri. It is kind of amazing since we don't have to many places to go except Branson to show our talent. Now they have TV shows to help. I was
routing for Elvis but I love Elvis so that is just me.LOL
