Is anyone planning... |

on watching the new season of Big Brother? We usually watch the first couple episodes before deciding. We didn't watch even one entire show of the winter
one last year, but we rather enjoyed the summer group. So much of it depends on whether TPTB do a "twist" where half the hamsters already know each
other - IMHO that wrecks the entire idea behind the show's premise. We've got the tivo set, but not on a season pass yet.

Hello all, as a big brother die hard I probably will. I'm not sure how much, I work in the evenings now. but I could sure use the distaction. and I kinda
miss it.
Also while I'm here I'm thinking of resurrecting this board back to ad free status if anyone is interested. not many people come here anymore. I need your feedback.... |

No I won't be watching this year. I found that if I don't watch on the internet it is not as fun and they cut out so much it has become boring to me.

Hi Everyone!
I hadn't posted here in quite some time, then I lost my way after it went on yuku. I wouldn't have known how to get back, if I hadn't gotten a message about the site, from loner, tonight. I'm a Big Brother addict, so I will definitely be watching, but I'll be watching the live feeds, I only watch the show, to see the competitions they block from the feeds. I agree with what teacher said, I don't like it when some of the cast knows each other, it's a much better dynamic when they are all strangers. I'm excited for the show to begin, here's hoping it's a good cast of characters! |

Not sure at this point.....................

I mean what I say, and I say what I mean (wasn't that Popeye?). No feeds here, but we have free Showtime through July, so I'll probably check out BBAD
(if the hamsters aren't too annoying, that is).

Infidel In The Temple |

And then there's me, the infidel in your temple. Funny thing is, next year will be the tenth anniversary of when these voyeur
shows crossed the Atlantic and began to grace America's shores. Truth be told, I don't have the kind of worries I originally did about the mental
health of the hamsters, but I do marvel that this show could last this long. When I turn it on these days, at any given time, they're always talking
about one thing: who's going to vote how in the next eviction. I hear people compare it with watching a car crash--I compare it with watching a bunch of
kids play King of the Mountain. But, as long as it's still on the air and as long as there's still this site, I'll be here, the Infidel In The
Temple Of Reality TV.

Sad to say, I'll very likely be spending far too much time on the feeds, and then I'll be watching Showtime After Dark as well. I already have my
Superpass membership that I never cancelled from last year (and I use to get ten dollars worth of music downloads per month) and I subscribe to Showtime anyway
for Weeds and a few other shows. At least with Showtime, I can just TIVO the three hours and then fast forward past
all the boring stuff.
Every summer, I swear I'll stay away from this group exercise in watching paint dry, then...sure as taxes, I end up glued to the dang feeds again. I have no reason to believe that I will behave with any more rationality this season. What amuses me at this point in the year, BEFORE any of the cast has been announced--is that right now we have absolutely NO knowledge of any of the new hamsters, yet in a few weeks we will be obsessing over who we "hate" and going to Joker's Updates to keep track of which hamsters do or do not wash hands after the bathroom. My only consolation these days is that since I have retired I now have the time to waste and my job can no longer suffer as a result of my BB obsession. |

I may not watch the feeds, but Jokers' - well, that's my way of keeping up on the 'feeds'. I'm totally in agreement w/UC - why would
rationality kick in this year when it hasn't in the 10 years past?
